Sainsburys

Lancaster Baths : the Samuel Gregson Baths were the first public swimming baths to be presented to the City by M.P. Mr Samuel Gregson 1863. It was built on the site where Sainsburys supermarket now stands.

The opening of the pool was cause for celebration, bells rang all over the City on opening day. A procession with the Mayor of Liverpool, the High Sheriff and the Rifle Corps boys of the National School marched from the Town Hall to the new Baths for the grand opening, along streets lined with colourful bunting.

Triwizard tournament : The Triwizard Tournament was a magical contest held between the three largest wizarding schools of Europe: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Durmstrang Institute, and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, each school normally represented by one Champion, until some how Harry finds his name is also drawn from the Goblet of Fire. Selected Champions compete in three tasks — traditionally judged by the Headmasters or Headmistresses of the competing schools — designed to test magical ability, intelligence, and courage.

The second challenge was to retrieve something from the Black Lake that each contestant had had taken from them. The champions needed to find a way to swim underwater for an extended period of time to enable them to complete the task.

Come seek us where our voices sound,

We cannot sing above the ground,

And while you’re searching ponder this;

We’ve taken what you’ll sorely miss,

An hour long you’ll have to look,

And to recover what we took,

But past an hour, the prospect’s black,

Too late, it’s gone, it won’t come back.
